what’s going on?
Monday is always a good day to start something new. Today is day one of a new fitness challenge. We’re off!
You could compare it to the 75 Hard challenge. The challenge requires you to ticks off tasks each day. If you fail one of these tasks, then you restart the challenge all over again. Even if you are on the 74th day.
The challenge has some critics and rightly so. Some of the tasks are not necessarily good for you. Drinking a gallon of water is too much for most. It was the start I needed when I completed it a few years ago. This challenge gave me a new base and it was actually the start of my alcohol free lifestyle. It has been over two years since my last drink and this, I am very pleased about. I wrote about the 75 Hard challenge here and my alcohol free journey here and here.

This time, it is similar in that there are tasks to tick off the list however, my list is slightly different. Today, I will talk about my intentions for the challenge. The last time I did this, I was checking off the daily tasks to make sure I completed them. This time, I am setting intentions with each task. What do I want to get out of this workout? What does this meal mean for my health? How will this activity help me sleep tonight?
For instance, on my run this morning I focussed on keeping a smooth and consistent pace. By staying relaxed with my breathing, the heat was not overwhelming.
I am excited for what is to come over the next little while and how this is going to impact my health and well being.
